When there appeared to be a slight possibility that Luka Doncic would make his Lakers debut Saturday afternoon against the Indiana Pacers, the matchup immediately became a must-see game. National reporters made plans to travel to Southern California.

ESPN flexed the Lakers game to its Saturday broadcast schedule in anticpation of Luka Dončić making his debut. Instead, Austin Reaves was the star.

On a nationally-televised afternoon game, the Indiana Pacers will take on the new-look Los Angeles Lakers. At least, that's what the NBA thought when they flexed the game to ESPN.
