Konami seemingly confirms the long-awaited release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the remake of the 2004 tactical espionage title.

This first one looks like a reference to the original Metal Gear Solid 3, which featured a monkey minigame in which Snake would attempt to neutralize the animals with stun grenade

The Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release trailer was launched on February 13, giving players a glimpse at a mode included in the game: the Snake vs. Monkey minigame. Along with the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date, slated for August 28, the trailer also confirmed the presence of many iconic bosses from the original game.

Konami finally confirmed yesterday that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will release on August 28, 2025, with the new teaser trailer also revealing the Snake vs. Monkey minigame is similarly making a comeback.

The trailer ends with a really quite upsetting depiction an Ape Escape monkey slapping its butt. From this we can assume, as Eurogamer did for me, that this indicates the return of the Snake vs Monkey minigame, for completion’s sake.
