Hawaii opened the 2025 season with a thrilling 23-20 win over Stanford on Saturday to cap off Week 0 action. Hawaii kicker Kansei Matsuzawa drilled a 38-yard field goal with no time remaining to give the Rainbow Warriors their first win over a Power Four team since 2019.

After getting the College Football season started in Week 0, Hawaii walked off Stanford after a back and forth game.

Expectations are at a higher level for the University of Hawaii football team and Timmy Chang, who begins his fourth season as UH head coach today against Stanford at Ching Complex. Chang is searching for his first win against a power conference team as Hawaii looks to build off a 5-7 campaign last season.
