The move was reportedly taken due to Chinese restrictions on labour and tech exports, which could disrupt Apple's scaling efforts in India and affect the broader 'Make in India' initiative aimed at transforming India into a global electronics manufacturing hub.

Hon Hai Technology Group also known as Foxconn a Taiwan based biggest Apple contract supplier has asked Chinese workers to leave India.

According to the Bloomberg report, Foxconn has also informed the Indian government about its move of withdrawing its Chinese staff.
