Highs should reach the low 90s on Sunday, mid to upper 90s on Monday, and low 90s on Tuesday. While a spotty shower or thunderstorm cannot be completely ruled out during the heat wave, it is more likely it will remain dry for the majority of our viewing area.

Funnel clouds were reported Friday morning in Illinois and there was a Flood Warning for parts of the Chicago area into the evening.

Just 24 hours after heavy rain flooded several homes on Chicago’s West Side, more rain on Saturday afternoon made it difficult for residents to dry out their belongings.

Friday’s heavy rain caused lots of flooding on the city’s Southwest Side and neighboring suburbs, and affected residents want answers.

A line of fast-moving storms prompted severe thunderstorm warnings in the Chicago area and ground stops at O'Hare and Midway airports. There were also reports of storm damage.

While some storms will start impacting the region this evening, rainfall is likely to intensify overnight. With humidity remaining at very high levels, any precipitation could quickly turn to torrential rainfall.
