When Andrew Wiggins was drafted first overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2014, he burst onto the scene, clearly full of potential. However, he and Karl-Anthony Towns were never able to get the Wolves over the hump, and he was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2020.

Wiggins, a former No. 1 pick in 2014, had his ups and downs on the Warriors but was instrumental to Golden State’s NBA title-winning run in 2022 and grew to become an underrated star among the likes of Steph Curry, Draymond Green and then-Warriors teammate Klay Thompson.

Jimmy Butler has gotten his wish. He’s being traded out of Miami. The Heat and the Golden State Warriors have agreed on a deal that sends Butler to the Bay Area, a person with knowledge of the talks said Wednesday.
