Downtown Melbourne, FL is a great place to walk through several blocks if shops and businesses. There are many mom and pop shops individually owned and operated which makes the hours vary, especially on weekends, i.e. Saturdays and/or Sundays! Having said that, there are many restaurants, artsy galleries, clothing stores and places to explore to make a great strolling trip. And alway, remember to visit Downtown Melbourne website or FB as there are always w/e events in their parks to peak someone's interest. Enjoy!
The Casbah has bands or individuals playing music usually on weekends. Meg O'Malley's has as well, usually one man band playing Irish and contemporary.
