Carry-ins are indeed allowed for the general public when visiting the museum. We ask that food and beverage consumption stay limited to our Promenade area, where there are cafe tables for your convenience. Food and beverages are not allowed in the exhibit areas. Discovery World also offers food for purchase at DK Express by Bartolotta’s, where you can enjoy a wide variety of artisanal sandwiches, fresh salads, rotating hot items, ‘grab ‘n go’ snacks and more… all while you experience the outstanding service and hospitality you’ve come to expect from Bartolotta’s. Carry-ins are not allowed during catered events.

The 5 year old would definitely enjoy it. The 2 year old would have a good time but may not be as entertained as his older sibling. I would definitely try it, if not now,then in a couple of years. We took our grandchildren when the youngest was 4 and she had a great time.
